Support Your Altadena Libraries

The Altadena Libraries are integral to the strength of our community – inspiring curiosity, connecting neighbors, and celebrating our community's unique spirit. Funding is critical to creating an innovative library. Giving a financial gift is so much more than clicking a "Donate" button. In 2022, donations to the Altadena Library Foundation will provide critical funds to:

• Support the operations of the Curiosity Connection mobile library: The Curiosity Connection brings library services – from storytimes and pop-up educational programming to Wi-Fi and technology – to all corners of Altadena. It is the third Altadena Library branch... on wheels!
• Build more Little Free Libraries in neighborhoods across Altadena: Little Free Libraries are frequent stops of the Curiosity Connection and make books and other literacy tools more accessible. Foundation funding will bring new Little Free Libraries to neighborhoods in Altadena that lack access to spread the joy of reading and to act as a community touchpoint for our Altadena Libraries.
• Develop new intergenerational community events, including multigenerational arts and cultural opportunities: Our innovative library staff are planning some amazing opportunities for Altadenans of all ages to gather, create, and discover together in new ways. From a series of World Puppetry Day celebrations to "creative placemaking" in honor of our unique community spirit, everyone in Altadena will be invited to express themselves and connect with community.
